Meet Annamaria

Annamaria's love for cooking began at the age of 15, learning from her grandmother and creating simple dishes inspired by Lombard cuisine. As a teenager, she cooked for her parents and continued to explore new recipes through numerous culinary courses in Italy and around the world. Her career includes owning a restaurant in Milan and a bar and diner in Ibiza. Now, she hosts home cooking classes and works as a private chef. Her passion for food led Annamaria to explore nutrition, which she plans to incorporate into her classes to teach healthy, balanced meals. She combines her culinary expertise and nutrition knowledge to offer a holistic cooking experience, focusing on both flavor and health.

Cooking experience (1 - 14 guests) Annamaria and her two friendly dogs will welcome you to her beautiful terrace apartment in Milan, located between the lively Città Studi university district and the more residential Lambrate. Situated on the top floor of a stunning building, Annamaria’s home features a dining room surrounded by a gorgeous veranda with views of the city's rooftops. In her Milan home cooking class discover the art of creating dough, rolling out the pastry, and shaping fresh pasta. Your experience begins with homemade coffee as Annamaria introduces the day's menu. Then, move to the work table to make spinach or pumpkin ravioli and carbonara from scratch. You can also opt to make tiramisu instead of carbonara if you prefer. In your hands-on cooking class in Milan, learn to make the dough, roll out the dough using the rolling pin and machine, learn to shape the pasta, make the ravioli stuffing and sauce for the carbonara using butter from Valtellina and sage from Annamaria's garden. After cooking, sit down at the beautiful outdoor dining table (weather permitting) to enjoy the meal you’ve created, paired with wine and great conversation.

Market visit (1 - 14 guests) Join Annamaria for a guided local market tour in Milan before your cooking class. Begin at her home and take a short walk to the vibrant neighborhood market. As you stroll through the market, you'll engage in conversations with friendly local vendors, sample regional products, and learn about the unique ingredients that define Milanese cuisine. You’ll also have the chance to purchase fresh ingredients for your cooking class. After the tour, return to Annamaria’s home to cook a traditional Italian meal using the ingredients you picked up at the market, creating a truly authentic culinary experience.
