Penny & Tam were a great duo! We visited Bangkok for the first time and eager to do a cooking class. Penny lives in a nice apartment in the heart of Bangkok and taught us how to cook simple but very tasty Thai dishes! She and her warm family welcomed us into their home. My husband does not eat meat so Penny adjusted the menu accordingly. Thanks, Traveling Spoon and thanks, Penny & Tam!

Excellent experience. Fun and delicious.
We had a lovely evening with Golf and his godmother Katharina. They were so warm, friendly and welcoming. It was great to be invited into a local's home and cook together the dishes we later ate, in the beautiful outdoor terrace. The menu was so thoughtful - Golf kept in mind our dietary likes and dislikes and ensured we were entertained by his stories. It felt like visiting a friend's home in another part of the world. My favorite dish was Pla tod kamin (fried garlic and turmeric fish) - it was so simple to make and yet so flavorful. Am excited to do another Traveling Spoon experience again.
Pinky does a great job at making you feel right at home in her quaint apartment. Once she warmed up, we were chatting non-stop about our favorite types of dancing, the city of Bangkok, and our favorite Thai food (of course). She is passionate about both dancing and food, and she is a very sweet person. She is very knowledgeable about Thai cuisine, so feel free to ask her questions about everything you are making!

Pimmy was a fun and welcoming host and provided guests with a great culinary experience. She picks you up right from the BTS Skytrain Station On Nut, making it super easy to navigate for travelers who have not ventured to Bangkok before. The market is small but the vendors were all super friendly and there were definitely some strange finds here, for example, live frogs. It is truly a unique experience to see first-hand where the ingredients are coming from before preparing the meals. Once returning to her home, you create some of the most noteworthy Thai dishes the country has to offer, and even though I was so incredibly full, I managed to scrape all of my plates clean: the food was that good.
Delicious food , extremely nice and generous host , beautiful ambiance.
