As we walked through the market, Laurence was tailoring our tour and our tastings to what she observed we were interested in, which made the experience extra special. Having this local experience was a refreshing break from the hustle and bustle of the Paris most tourists are seeing. Even the staff at the coffee shop where we met up were sweet and energetic, which is not always the temperament of people working in the tourist heavy areas. We highly recommend this tour if you love food, a local experience and good company!

Experiencing a home cooking session with Ximena was a true blessing. Her Mexican heritage shines through in her storytelling and passion, which she infuses into the way she welcomes you and explains each ingredient she uses. A highlight for me was her guiding me through making tortillas, a skill that truly came to life during the class. Finally, I would like to thank her for welcoming me into her home and allowing me to learn about her journey from Mexico to France. Lovely day in the French Countryside! Our day spent with Caroline in the French Countryside was definitely a highlight of our trip to Paris! She was very easy to communicate with and made a point to ask about our food preferences so she could build a menu around our tastes. We assisted with some dishes, observed others, and she had a few special ones prepared ahead of time. We enjoyed champagne and various wines with our lunch. The village was beautiful and charming and Caroline’s home and grounds are very special! We took a walk to see the beautiful medieval church in her village and after lunch she drove us to the Chateau de Vaux-le-Vicomte where we toured the castle and grounds. Since we had no time constraints on our personal schedule we were gone the entire day. Melun is approx a 30 min train ride from Paris. Thank you, Caroline, for your hospitality and for creating a memorable day for our family!

In Françoise's gorgeous Parisian duplex you will learn to make France's most iconic and delicious desserts - lemon madeleines, financiers, raspberry tartelettes and chocolate charlottes! You might already be a fan of them but they'll taste even better once you've lovingly made them yourself. As you learn from Françoise and bake together, you can enjoy a glass of champagne or a hot drink - there's nothing like baking in style! After the class, you'll take a seat at her table, set with vintage cups, fine linen and silvery cutlery, for a luxury afternoon tea. Sipping on the drink of your choice, dig into the homemade treats you helped prepare and additional cakes prepared by Francoise. <br><br> During this 2.5 hour French pastry class learn to bake French desserts and learn about Parisian culture and salons. A very chic way to spend your afternoon in Paris - sipping on tea and learning to bake French pastries. <br><br> Françoise can also teach French macarons - however, if you choose the macarons option, this would be the only pastry you learn during this class because of how long it takes.
