During your hands-on Thai cooking class in Fullerton, join Young in his kitchen to learn to cook authentic Thai food. You will learn to make three dishes from scratch - pineapple curry, wingbean salad and galangal soup. Young will teach you how to achieve the right balance of flavors, the foundation of Thai cuisine. Your cooking class will last for about 2 hours, after which you will sit down to share the meal you helped prepare with Young at the dining table.
Young lives with his wife and father in a residential area near California State University, just 10 minutes away from Disneyland. During your experience with Young and his family, you will learn and taste Central Thai food, traditional Thai cuisine (also known as Royal Thai food), and Northeastern Thai dishes (also known as Isaan food). Some of these dishes are difficult to find outside of Thailand but are the most flavorful foods you can eat. Young is also happy to cook Southern and Northern Thai dishes, so if you have any food preferences please let him know in advance. A few dishes that you can share at Young’s dining table are tom kha (coconut galangal soup) or tom saap (spicy and sour soup), yum tua plu (Thai winged bean salad) or yum som-o (pomelo salad) or yum ta krai (lemongrass salad) and gaeng kua sapparod (Thai pineapple curry) or laab (Isaan lettuce wrap), served with Thai jasmine rice. Your meal concludes with sweetened lemongrass tea.
Young can accommodate vegetarian, vegan, and pescatarian diets, so please let him know in advance if you have any dietary restrictions, while booking your cooking class in Fullerton online.

Young started cooking at 12 in his mother's kitchen and began working in professional kitchens at 16. He held many jobs in different restaurants ranging from washing dishes and inventory, to prep and fry cook. He left that world after graduating from college, but creating delicious food has always been part of his daily life. Then in 2020, he got married and moved to a new city where they couldn’t find any good Thai food, which motivated Young started to cook his wife’s favorite dishes at home. After 2 years of cooking at home, Young decided to go to a Thai culinary school and learn more. He graduated from Bangkok Thai Cooking Academy where he learned over 90 Thai dishes. 2 years of practice and 1 Thai culinary degree later, Young can proudly say that his Thai dishes are Thai wife approved! Apart from cooking, Young is also a dog caretaker and photographer. He boards dogs while thier humans are away and also adopts/fosters dogs in their family home in Nonthaburi, Thailand. Young is very excited to pass his culinary knowledge with traveler’s who want to learn about authentic Thai cuisine.
