Host offerings
Ale and Larry are chefs and food enthusiasts with a real love for hospitality, cooking and fine wine. Their culinary journey began with their grandmothers, and they further honed their skills in traditional Italian cuisine both in Italy and internationally. They have been hosting culinary experiences in their warm and cozy home, just few meters from the Vatican museum, for a few years. Ale and Larry are excited to hosts travelers from around the world in their home and share their family recipes and teach them how to cook traditional Italian food.

In-home meal (1 - 6 guests) Immerse yourself in the local culture and cuisine of Rome, in Ale and Larry’s home, a few steps away from Vatican City. You can expect an authentic taste of Roman life in their cozy and elegant home. Their food is traditional using time-honored techniques and family recipes. Start your meal with an aperitif - sparkling wine and bruschetta with buffalo mozzarella, fresh tomatoes, ham and seasonal products. Then you will be served homemade pasta - fettuccine or tagliatelle with ragù or ravioli ripieni. And end your meal with homemade tiramisu, coffee and liqueur.
Cooking experience (1 - 6 guests) During your cooking class in the heart of Rome learn to make traditional Italian recipes with expert chefs. Your fun, interactive Rome cooking class lasts for 1.5 hours, where you will learn to make two dishes from scratch in a cozy home kitchen. Guided by Ale and Larry, learn the step-by-step process on how to make handmade pasta. You will learn time-honored techniques of preparing homemade fettuccine or tagliatelle to pair with a robust ragù sauce. Follow along step-by-step as you mix and roll the dough, then cut and cook your fresh fettuccine or tagliatelle. For dessert, you’ll prepare a tiramisu, and then taste your dishes together while enjoying a glass of wine.
Notes: Ale and Larry can offer vegetarian meals on request, if informed in advance. Experience a cozy cooking environment in a local apartment, perfect for individuals, couples, or small groups.
