Meet Alessandro

Alessandro is a lawyer by profession but a contemporary pizza maker at heart. During his free time, you will find Alessandro creating the perfect pizza for his family and friends. Alessandro has studied Neapolitan-style pizza making in depth and is excited to share his knowledge of this wonderful art with guests. He is keen to share his love for cooking with travelers and teach them his process of creating a contemporary pizza. Alessandro lives in Catania, Sicily with his wife Matilde (who teaches Italian to foreign students), his son Lorenzo and dog Lilli.

In-home meal (1 - 8 guests) Join Alessandro in his beautiful home to share a pizza accompanied by a glass of locally brewed beer and a traditional Sicilian entrée.

Cooking experience (1 - 8 guests) During your contemporary pizza making class in Catania, Sicily, join Alessandro in his kitchen to learn to knead the flour, roll out the dough, choose fresh ingredients, bake your pizza and finally relish the fruits of your labor. A connoisseur of pizzas, Alessandro teaches you how to make the perfect contemporary pizza. First prepare the dough, then after rolling out the dough, you can choose your toppings: fresh ingredients that are in season and of the highest quality. Then bake your pizza in the oven and later join Alessandro at the table to share the pizza you cooked accompanied by a glass of excellent locally brewed beer and a traditional Sicilian entrée.

Notes: Alessandro can offer a lactose free, vegetarian and vegan meal, on request. So please inform him in advance while booking your Sicilian cooking class in Catania online. Please note that 1 local beer per person is included in the price, if you would like additional beer please select the alcohol option and pay additionally.
