"Top Experience in Bali. Of our weeklong trip to Bali, the private cooking class with Putu was the highlight. In our other touristy experiences, we saw a very curated picture of the country, but this gave us a true window into Balinese culture and life. We loved walking through the farmer's market and trying new fruits and vegetables (one of my favorite things back home, too!). Putu was a tremendous host, welcoming us into her home and introducing us to her family. She was very helpful in teaching us about all the products/produce we were using and showing us the techniques for cooking traditional dishes. In all, we made 7 dishes, which were all delicious. We requested a completely plant-based menu, and were blown away with the variety of flavors that we created. It was lovely to share the meal with her family. We highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting Bali. Thanks, Putu!"

"Putu, the chef, and her husband were excellent hosts. They were both gracious, polite and informative. The meal was excellent - Putu even offered us leftovers to take back to our hotel. Pasta was friendly and picked us up right on time. He drove us to his family's ancestral home where we met Putu. She showed us around the home and introduced us to other members of the family. There was a wide variety of dishes to choose from and the buffet was plentiful. We lucked out as we were the only guests for the night of our dinner. Putu also shared her recipes with us. Highly recommend this tour. You won't be disappointed."

"Putu's home is in a lovely, quiet setting. When I arrived the table was set, the food prepped for cooking, and the children greeted me with shy looks and an occasional smile. Putu she explained the what, how, why of the cooking process. It amazed me that she could prepare 6 dishes on two burners with great fluidity to her work. Each dish turned out perfectly and looks beautiful - not to mention, everything was delicious!"

"We were a family of 9 aged 6-80 and had a fantastic experience with Putu and her family. We all learnt a lot about Balinese life and cooked some of the most delicious food we have had in Bali. Putu took care to make sure everyone was involved in the cooking and the children were really engaged through the whole process. We would absolutely recommend this to anyone visiting Ubud and wanting to see Bali outside of the main tourist areas."
