In-home meal (1 - 10 guests) This experience includes wine pairings with your meal and chocolate tastings at the end of your meal. Food is the center of this home, with large indoor and outdoor dining tables, a kitchen, and braai (South African barbeque). There are multitudes of different foods that are traditional to South Africa’s diverse culture (predominately Cape Malay, Afrikaans, English, and African) from their Dutch, British, Indian and Malaysian influences. Your menu might feature either traditional Afrikaans dishes such as snoek pate with seed loaf, rump and sirloin kebabs and koeksisters (a syrup-coated twisted or braided doughnut) or authentic Cape Malay dishes such as chicken samoosas, Cape Malay seafood curry and malva tart. This experience includes wine pairings and chocolate tastings after your meal. Richard offers a well curated tasting showcasing local Constantia products. You will taste a blended red wine, a straight cultivar red wine, and a sweet white dessert wine, all from nearby estates, paired with different flavored high quality artisan chocolates, bringing out the best in both the wine and the chocolate.
Cooking experience (1 - 10 guests) Join Richard and Gillian in their kitchen for a Cape Town cooking class and learn how to make 2-3 of the dishes you will share together later.
