You will be welcomed by Narbu and Ramana with some tea and a traditional scarf to their modest home in Pokhara. They will introduce you to the rich flavors and spices of Nepali cuisine, before you learn how to cook traditional Nepali dishes. Their Pokhara cooking class is designed to teach you how to prepare an authentic Nepali meal using fresh ingredients and traditional cooking methods. In your 2 hour hands-on Nepali cooking class in Pokhara learn to make 1-2 dishes from scratch. Either learn to make the famous Nepali momos (dumplings) and tingmo (steamed bread) or then cook an everyday meal that consists of lentils and a meat or vegetable curry. This is a hands-on cooking class where Narbu and Ramana will guide you through the step-by-step process, while sharing tips, family recipes and cultural traditions. As the kitchen is small you will use the dining table to prep the ingredients. After cooking, sit down at the table to enjoy the meal you helped prepare, that will be served with yogurt, pickle, salad and papad.
