Market visit (1 - 30 guests) Meet Patrizia at the entrance of Capo Market to buy fresh, seasonal ingredients for your Sicilian cooking class in Palermo. This is a bustling street market that features a wide variety of vendors selling fresh fruit, vegetables, meat, seafood, cheese and household goods. The market is a feast for the senses - sounds of the vendors calling out their wares, aroma of freshly baked bread and the vibrant colors of the produce. Together visit the fruit and vegetable vendors to find out what’s in season and the fishmonger to choose the best fresh catch of the day. Buy a few ingredients while learning about the local in-season products, before you walk back to Patrizia’s apartment for your Palermo cooking class in Sicily. Along the way you will pass through a beautiful historical area, before arriving at Patrizia’s charming apartment inside a 17th century palazzo, just in front of the Cathedral. Here you will cook together using family recipes.
Join Patrizia in her home kitchen for a hands-on cooking class and discover the secrets of traditional Sicilian cuisine. You will learn how to cook four authentic dishes from scratch – appetizer, pasta, beef or fish dish and dessert.
