Host offerings
Colin comes from a Hokkien family and first learned to cook from his mother. Many staple Singaporean dishes originated from the Hokkien community, they are proud of their culture and food and usually focus on the umami flavor component in their food. Colin translates that into his own cooking. Colin is the main chef at the cooking studio and a professional, licensed tour guide, who has also worked in fine-dining restaurants and hotels. Cooking with fresh market produce, traveling, learning about different cuisines and cultures, and meeting new people are Colin’s greatest passions.

“My passion is to teach and impart my food knowledge to those who are interested.” On days that Colin is unavailable, his colleagues who are equally passionate about Singaporean food will host you.

The menu is subjected to change, depending on what fresh ingredients are available!
Cooking experience (5 - 20 guests) During your 1.5-hour hands-on cooking class, Colin (or his colleagues when he is not available) will teach you how to make three Singaporean dishes from scratch. You will make an appetizer and main based on what is fresh and seasonally available at the market as well as nonya kueh dadar, a pandan flavored crepe with grated coconut. (subjected to changes)
