Meet Hiroko at Musashi-Koganei train station and walk to her small but cozy Koganei apartment, just outside central Tokyo, for a delightful 2-hour Tokyo cooking class. Passionate about Japanese food and culture, Hiroko will guide you through making sushi rice, rolling maki with raw fish, vegetables, and fish roe, and preparing a classic Japanese vegetable dish like goma-ae.
Enjoy green tea or coffee during your session, or opt for wine or beer if you choose the alcohol option, at an additional cost. You can also request to learn chirashi sushi (sushi bowls) or homestyle Japanese dishes like nikujaga or oyakodon. Please let Hiroko know your preference when booking!
This is just a sample menu to give you an idea of the types of dishes the host cooks. Your menu will vary according to seasonal availability.
