What others are saying

"Mariana and Geraldine are professional chefs and food stylists who openly share their culinary expertise and knowledge. Our experience was taken from their recently published cook book where we shopped for ingredients at the local market and prepared dishes together in a well organised and beautifully curated cooking class in their home kitchen. Mariana and Geraldine make cooking effortless, fun and interesting. They share their passion of food openly and delivered a beautiful meal in their garden, a treat that is hard to find in Mexico City. It was an honour to be side by side in the kitchen with both women who are clearly great professionals in the kitchen. We would have this experience again with Mariana and Geraldine so we could tap into their knowledge and enthusiasm. Tip: buy their cookbook if you can. It is full of authentic, local recipes that you can make at home!"

"Mariana is exceptionally friendly, with a thorough knowledge of Mexican cuisine, and excellent explanation skills (in English!). Geraldine's home and the nearby plaza are stunning and a delight to visit. We had difficulty finding the correct door, and Mariana walked the neighborhood to find us. Beyond the call of duty! Our dinner conversation was terrific, and informative. Her kitchen helpers were very nice and very thoughtful. A truly unique and worthwhile experience"

"What a fun experience! We took the market tour and cooking class and had a blast! Geraldine has an absolutely beautiful home where we learned to make salsa, rice, pibil, and sopes. After meeting at the house, we walked to the market where we learned about different vendors, products, and ingredients. We then returned to the house, prepared our meal, and enjoyed a really lovely lunch in the garden. Mariana and Geraldine were very accommodating to my picky family, which was greatly appreciated! We also picked their brains for restaurant and site-seeing recommendations and they were happy to oblige. Overall this was a great family experience and I am so glad we booked! Mariana and Geraldine are absolutely lovely, knowledgeable, and entertaining. This was a perfect break from all of the more traditional tourist experiences! Highly recommend!"
