Meet Mike

Mike has always loved to eat, but he didn’t discover his knack for cooking until high school and soon after decided to pursue a career in the culinary arts. He recently graduated from Bangkok’s renowned Dusit Thani College with a degree in Kitchen and Restaurant Management. After years of study and hands-on experience under his mother’s wing, he’s ready to don his apron and show you his mastery of the kitchen! <br><br? Mike likes to innovate by updating his mother’s traditional Thai recipes with the contemporary styles and techniques that he learned from his teachers. But the family’s business is making Thai chili paste – a staple in every Thai kitchen -- so he’s definitely not afraid to set your mouth on fire if you’ll allow him. Mike is also a cycling enthusiast and his dream is to combine both his passions into one. Be sure to ask him about his idea for the “Cycling Chef,” a bike tour on which you collect your vegetables and herbs from local farms and markets throughout the Thai countryside.
