Host offerings
Porntip was a librarian at Thailand's oldest medical library and now that she’s retired, she spends her time traveling and perfecting her cooking skills. She especially loves to prepare Thai snacks from hard-to-find traditional royal recipes and Thai-Chinese dishes from family recipes. Porntip sometimes hosts with her niece Wariya (Pam) and they are warm and inviting hosts who love to introduce guests to traditional Thai recipes and share their deep culinary knowledge. Porntip hosts at Wariya’s parents’ home, a large modern house in a gated estate, with a beautiful back garden filled with citrus trees.

In-home meal (1 - 6 guests) Leave the hustle and bustle of central Bangkok and arrive at Wariya's parents' home, located in a quiet and relaxed gated community. Porntip will greet you and then together you'll share a unique Thai meal of some classic royal recipes, Thai-Chinese family favorites and the lesser-known dishes that Porntip has perfected in the kitchen.
Cooking experience (1 - 6 guests) In the kitchen, Porntip will teach you some of her special recipes for Thai snacks as well as Thai-Chinese family favorites. You will cook 2-3 dishes together and then enjoy them as part of a meal which will include additional dishes prepared in advance. You can expect the cooking experience to last 1-2 hours.
Market visit (1 - 6 guests) Explore a local market and learn about Thai produce. Discover fruits and vegetables that you may never have seen before and ingredients that you use in your Thai cooking before returning to her kitchen to cook a meal together.
