Host offerings
Ann was born and raised in Dublin, however, spent over 20 years living abroad, working in the catering and hospitality industries across England, Germany, Switzerland, and the Canary Islands. With more than 40 years of experience in the sector, Ann has developed a deep knowledge of food and hospitality. In 2018, she returned to Dublin and began working as a tour guide, leading both history and food tours. That same year, she combined her love for food and teaching by setting up her own home cooking classes in Dublin, which has allowed her to connect with people from all over the world. In her free time, Ann loves to travel, read, and is currently dedicating herself to learning the Irish language and also pursuing a course in the history of Irish food.

Cooking experience (1 - 8 guests) Ann is excited to welcome travelers into her Dublin home for a memorable Irish cooking class and dinner experience. In this authentic Dublin cooking class, you'll join Ann in preparing a traditional Irish dinner, which you’ll later enjoy together in a fun, friendly, and relaxed atmosphere. During your 3-hour hands-on cooking class in Dublin, you'll learn to prepare classic Irish dishes using recipes passed down to Ann from her grandmother. You’ll create three delicious dishes from scratch: traditional Irish soda bread, comforting leek and potato soup, and colcannon, a beloved Irish mashed potato dish. After the cooking class, sit down to savor the food you’ve prepared, complemented by some wine, lively music, and engaging conversation.
To end your evening on a high note, Ann will teach you how to make your own Irish coffee, while offering local tips and recommendations for things to do around Dublin. As a special memento, you’ll take home a recipe book and the homemade soda bread you baked during the class. Whether you're a seasoned cook or a beginner, this Dublin cooking experience is a delightful way to immerse yourself in Irish culture and cuisine.
Notes: Ann can accommodate a lactose free, gluten free, vegetarian and vegan diet on request, if informed in advance. Please note that Ann requires a min of 4 people to offer a private experience. In case you're a group of less than 4 people and don't mind a small group, shared experience (non-private with a maximum of 8 people), please email us to check availability and pricing.
