Host offerings
Jean-Yves was born in Vietnam and grew up in France. He started to cook as a young boy learning from his mother in the kitchen as he helped her prepare family meals. It was in the kitchen with his mother when he first discovered his love for cooking and baking. Professionally, Jean-Yves was an architect for over 20 years before he decided to follow his true passion, cooking. He re-designed a space in central Paris into a cooking workshop and a second home and enjoys introducing travelers to traditional French macaron making in his modern kitchen!

Cooking experience (1 - 7 guests) Meet your host, Jean-Yves, at his converted cooking studio for a macaron baking demonstration and tasting class. His studio, located in the 3rd arrondissement is reflective of who he is, decorated with art and furniture from both France and Asia. Learn more about your host over sparkling champagne before heading into his modern kitchen for your macaron making demo! During this macaron demonstration, Chef Jean Yves will show you how he makes delicious traditional French macaroons. You will watch as he teaches you to bake scrumptious macarons and complement them with fruit or cream. Jean-Yves is an artist and it is a true joy to witness how he lovingly creates this traditional French dessert.
Children above the age of 4 will be charged the price of an adult. The website defaults to charging 50% but since our host prices children and adults the same, please add children as adults while booking this experience.
Notes: Your macaron making demo class includes the cost of two glasses of champagne and takes place from 1:30pm to 3:00pm. Please note children above 4 years of age will be charged the full adult price for this experience.
