Nicolas is a passionate, self taught home chef who started cooking when he was very young. He lives in a small, simple and cozy apartment with good views of the boulevard Cerviño from his balcony. Just the perfect place to host friends and family! The location is great, as Palermo Town is near the most important avenue in Buenos Aires, Libertador. Nicolas describes himself as a food lover and would like to share with travelers his immense love for Argentinean food and culture. He also has some great recommendations for local restaurants and must visit places in his city!
Please note menu might vary. If there are particular dishes you are interested in trying, please include your request in the booking form.
In-home meal (1 - 4 guests) Nicolas will welcome you with a warm smile for a fun Argentinean asado on the patio! The patio has a great view overlooking Avenida Cerviño and a small asado grill built into the wall. He will introduce you to Argentinean food and culture and later share a home cooked meal that may include dishes such as empanadas, grilled meat, homemade sauces, salad and rice pudding.
Cooking experience (1 - 4 guests) In your one hour Buenos Aires cooking class with Nicolas, you will learn to make a potato cake, which is a classic Argentinean dish found in homes and bakeries. Every family has their own adaptation of this dish and Nicolas will show you his version. He will also give you a step-by-step guide to prepare an authentic Argentine asado (barbecue) - grilling different meat with a variety of sauces.
Notes: Please note, in order to make an excellent asado it needs to be slow cooked and Nicolas needs a minimum of one hour to grill it.

A Traveling Spoon ambassador visited this host. Here is their personal review.
I loved the asado on the patio, and the view from Nicolas' apartment is amazing. It's one of my favorite memories from my time in Buenos Aires! Nicolas is an easy-going, friendly cook, and his apartment is the perfect date night location. Nicolas was warm and welcoming from beginning to end, and that feeling of simple goodness carries into the food. It would be easy to spend a long time chatting on the patio, except that he has so many recommendations of what to do next in the area (ask about PIBÄ).
