Meet John

John is a passionate home cook who loves exploring the flavors of his home country of Mauritius. He developed this love of cooking from his grandmother who worked as a chef. John's unique flavors come from the diversity of the island and his own background - his mother is from Mauritius and his father is Chinese. His cooking is a true mixture of Creole, Indian, Middle Eastern, Chinese, French and English cuisine. John has lived all over the world, and after studying in France, moved to Montreal to further develop his love for cooking. Sharing a meal with John is a culinary adventure, and gives you access to experience flavors unique to Mauritius. John and his wife are very warm and gracious hosts who will make you feel right at home.
